Summer Program Employment Opportunity

Calvary Christian Academy (CCA) is celebrating its 22nd year as a multi-denominational Christian school in Lanark County. CCA adheres to a Christian-based belief system that aims to develop children of good character. From September to June, CCA has students from Preschool to grade 8 who attend the Academy. During the summer months, we are excited to offer 4 weeks of summer programs for children in Academics and Athletics and a licensed Kids Camp.

We are looking to hire four dynamic, mature and responsible individuals to help lead this summer program. Positions available include

  • Program Leader (1)
  • Program Staff (2)
  • Summer Camp Office Support (1)

All hired summer staff will work closely with the Vice-Principal in providing a safe and positive experience for each camper. In addition, leading up to the summer program students will be involved in various projects around the school.

Preference will be given to applicants that are dynamic, versatile and have experience working with students. In addition, applicants with specific skills in one of the following camp sessions would be an asset – golf, hockey, cooking, working, technology or working with young children.

The successful applicants will work 6 weeks at the agreed upon wage pay scale.

Individuals that have a heart for following Jesus Christ, working with students are encouraged to apply by Tuesday May 21st.

References
Two references are required, one of which must be from a Pastor/Minister or Christian Leader. Letters of reference are to be submitted with your application.

Interview
Applicants of interest will be contacted immediately and an interview time will be scheduled that week.

Communication & Hiring
Upon acceptance and before employment begins, all staff will be required to submit and complete:

  1. Signed employment contract
    2.  A Police Record Check including Vulnerable Persons Sector Check – current within two years
    3.  Medical Form
    4. Social Insurance Number
    5. Health and safety orientation and training
