Jennifer Beierl – Grade 1
Jennifer has been teaching at CCA since 2004. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, and enjoys using both these disciplines within the school and classroom. Jennifer takes great delight in teaching grade one, and loves the energy and eagerness of her students. She believes that developing strong literacy skills is vital in the early years, as it is this firm foundation that sets the stage for future academic achievements and instills a lifelong love of learning. Jennifer loves the unique approach to education at CCA, both as a teacher and as a parent. She deeply values the Christ-centered environment, and the unique way in which the school offers a well-balanced educational experience for each and every child. She loves the way in which academic excellence, character development, and athletic opportunities are woven together to create a wonderful, safe, nurturing atmosphere in which children thrive. |

Jessica Hamelin – Grade 2
Jessica graduate with a BA in Sociology with a background in Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston. She went on to achieve her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Canterbury Christ Church University College in Canterbury, England. Jess has worked in schools in England, as well as many Public and Catholic schools in the Beckwith area, but found CCA to be the only school which embodies everything she loves about education. She is deeply committed to CCA’s philosophy of well-rounded education. From “day one” children are immersed in literacy in her classroom because it is the cornerstone to success. She provides a safe classroom environment that allows each child to gain the confidence needed to learn from mistakes and be independent thinkers. Jess is passionate about celebrating each student as a unique individual and feels it’s important for each to embrace their own strengths and weaknesses to meet their full potential. |

Jennifer Burr – Grade 3
Jennifer brings 14 years of teaching experience to CCA. She has a B.A. and a B. Ed. in Child Studies, Special Education 1 & 2 and OTC Primary/ Junior. Previously, Jennifer worked with developmentally handicapped adults and taught drama classes for 6-12 year olds. She also taught preschool craft classes in Goulbourn Township. Jennifer enjoys writing, reading and cooking. Currently, she is a freelance writer for an online magazine, www.fitchristian.com. Her column is called Miss Communication and she is involved in a number of other writing projects. Within the Christian community, Jennifer has fulfilled roles as worship leader, pioneer club leader, Bible study leader, and has taught junior worship for years. Also she has been actively involved with the Christian Women’s Club. Jennifer loves the fact that she can pray and talk about God with the Children at CCA and encourages them to pray and talk about God with others. |
